Our fireplace cleaning checklist
Fireplace cleaning includes:

Fireplace glass builds up a gray film of soot and residue every season, and gas fireplaces leave a white haze on the inside of the glass. Brass trim tarnishes and fingerprints show up on everything. We clean the glass inside and out, polish the trim and leave the whole fireplace sparkling.
Inside, we vacuum the loose ash and debris from the firebox, clean the metal mesh curtain and gently dust the gas logs without moving them. Outside, we clean the hearth, tile or stone surround and mantel. Your fireplace needs to be turned off and cool before we start.
Fireplace cleaning is a great add-on to a deep cleaning, before the holidays or when you get the home ready to sell. We don’t sweep chimneys or work on gas lines; for those, call a licensed chimney or gas professional.

Do you clean gas fireplaces?
Yes. We clean the glass, trim, metal mesh curtain and hearth, and gently dust the gas logs without moving or adjusting them.
Do you sweep chimneys?
No. We don’t sweep chimneys, inspect flues or work on gas lines. For those, call a licensed chimney or gas professional.
Does the fireplace need to be off?
Yes. Please turn the fireplace off a few hours before your cleaning so the glass and firebox are completely cool.
