Blinds collect dust, pollen and kitchen grease fast, and they’re a pain to clean yourself. We clean them slat by slat so your windows and rooms look brighter.
Our blind washing checklist
Blind washing includes:
- Dust vacuumed from every slat, top and bottom
- Slats hand-washed and wiped dry
- Headrails, valances and bottom rails cleaned
- Cords and wands wiped
- Window sills and tracks behind the blinds wiped
- Faux wood, vinyl and aluminum blinds
- Wood blinds cleaned with wood-safe methods
- Fabric curtains and shades dusted only (we don’t wash fabric)
Brighter windows, cleaner air
Blinds are one of the dustiest spots in any home. In North Texas, pollen and dust settle on every slat, and kitchen blinds pick up a sticky layer of grease. Dirty blinds make a clean room look tired and stir dust back into the air every time you open them.
Our team vacuums each blind, then hand-washes the slats and wipes them dry, along with the headrails, valances, cords and the window sills behind them. We use the right method for each material: wood-safe products for real wood. We don’t wash fabric: fabric curtains and shades are dusted only.
Most blinds are cleaned in place. We cover the floors so no spray lands on them and wipe each slat by hand, or we carefully take the blinds down. Getting renovations or painting done and the blinds need to come down? It’s the perfect time to have us wash them thoroughly outside. Before we begin, we inspect the blinds and tell you about any damage we find. Blind cleaning requires your agreement, and we are not liable for damage found during that inspection.
Blind washing is an add-on for deep cleaning, move-out cleaning and post-construction cleaning. Without it, blinds are thoroughly dusted with minor spot cleaning. It also pairs well with window cleaning.
